What's cloud cost management for?
In a world where developers can spin up resources in seconds with the wave of a wand 🪄, cloud infrastructure costs have become increasingly invisible and difficult to maintain.
Imagine you can't see the price on anything you buy but you just get a big "you owe $999,921" at the end of the month 😬💸
What's do I do?
I work on solving complex, technical problems for personas with differing needs and backgrounds: application engineers, infrastructure engineers, and finance.
My day to day includes the standard design stuff:
- Iterative design and prototyping process
- Conducting and synthesizing user research in customer calls
- Creating user flows, running workshops
- Working with frontend developers to ensure craft and quality during delivery
And some data specific responsibilities:
- Building new data visualizations and new design components with cross functional teams
- Working with developers to address edge cases when testing with real data
- Working with PMs to validate overall product and business strategy
- Tracking success metrics on delivered features
